Philosophy and Education of Seidon
The education of Seidon is similar to many city-states but is also different in many ways. The girls receive little to no education. This is because women did not need an education to fulfill their duty of being a house wife. The girls are able to learn how to be literate. The boys on the other hand attend school no matter how much money they have. Seidon feels it is important to educate all boys fully. The boys are offered to learn how to read, write, play music, write poetry, and practice public speaking. When they become young men, they can participate in military training and athletic contests to stay fit and healthy incase they are taken to war. The philosphy of Seidon is very similar to Athens. They used reason, hope, and logic to study people and they care about the individuals. They heard about this way of living from the famous philosopher, Socrates, who came from Athens (their ally).
