Social Classes in Seidon
The overall population for Seidon is 200,000 people. Seidon is smaller than Athens but still has a larger population than Sparta. Seidon has 60,000 slaves, 70,000 women and children, 20,000 outsiders, and 30,000 men. The slaves of Athens do the hard labor for families and the king similar to almost every other city-state in Ancient Greece. They would farm and help the fishermen on the sea. The richer the families were, the more slaves they had. The women in Seidon would do the shopping, tend to children, and monitor the slaves. Women had little rights in Seidon. They were expected to be silent and too keep wealth in the family. Seidon honors the Greek gods by building temples and celebrating with festivals. They speak with the gods through oracles and priests.
