Nationalism of Seidon
Seidon has different views of outside civilizations. They dislike Persia because in the past, they tried to take over Greece. Seidon feels superior to non-Greeks such as the Phoenicians and Egyptians. Seidon also welcomes outsiders. They borrow ideas and inventions from the outsiders. Seidon is not military based, but all men and boys are still trained for the military. When the king of Seidon decides to attack, he assembles the military with volunteers and citizens of his choice.
The military is made up of all men, and boys start training at the age of 11. Fathers who have 3 sons are exempt from military services and when they have 4 sons, they are exempt from all state services. Seidon has walls surrounding it to protect themselves from attacks on land from other city-states. Seidon has a strong Navy because it is located on the coast and uses the advantage of being from the sea god, Poseidon. This way, Seidon can navigate with ease.

They also trade with other city-states that are welcoming and negotiable. Seidon takes part in competitive sporting events with other city-states such as Athens, Delphi, and Thebes. Seidon travels by ship because they are mostly surrounded by water and their main god is Poseidon, the sea god. The city-state of Seidon is allies with Athens. Athens and Seidon often trade together. They trade with each other because they both are close to each other and are located on the coast. Seidon is against Sparta because they became allies with Persia and took over Athens. Since Seidon is allies with Athens, they are against Sparta.
